Intervenções Nutricionais no Tratamento da Caquexia Oncológica: uma revisão de literatura

Objetivo: A caquexia oncológica é uma condição debilitante associada ao câncer, caracterizada por perda de peso, massa muscular e distúrbios metabólicos, impactando negativamente a qualidade de vida dos pacientes. Esta revisão sistemática teve como objetivo analisar as intervenções nutricionais no manejo da caquexia oncológica, com foco na suplementação com ácidos graxos ômega-3, dietas especializadas e aconselhamento nutricional. Metodologia: Trata-se de revisão de literatura, direcionada por princípios de documentação e critérios de inclusão/exclusão propostos pelo PRISMA. A pergunta de pesquisa foi elaborada com base no modelo PICO e foram selecionados estudos clínicos e observacionais publicados nos últimos 15 anos nas bases de dados PubMed, Scopus e Cochrane Library. Os dados foram exportados para o software “Mendeley” a fim de auxiliar na seleção dos estudos. Resultados: A análise revelou que a suplementação com ômega-3 contribui para a estabilização do peso corporal e redução da inflamação sistêmica, embora não tenha mostrado impacto significativo na reversão da caquexia.
