The influence of human resources performance indicators on decision making: a study with managers from the Federal District and arround

Abstract

Decision-making, present in people's daily lives, permeates the most dynamic and diverse scenarios, including organizational ones. Thus, as important as decision-making is, performance indicators, also known as KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), provide information and demonstrate the measurement of results to businesses. Both topics are explored in the study in question through bibliographic research and statistical regression analyses, aiming to explain the influence of indicators on decision-making. The study involved conducting a survey with the participation of 432 private sector managers from the Federal District and surrounding areas, who provided information about their socioeconomic profile, the main characteristics of decision-making profiles, and their interaction with the theme: human resources performance indicators. Through statistical tests, it was found that there is no explanatory model for what was investigated, indicating that there is no significant influence regarding the use of human resources performance indicators on the decision-making of managers in private organizations in the Federal District and surrounding areas. The study expands possibilities for new research agendas that seek relationships with the variables used and their replicability in other scenarios, as well as encouraging organizations to work on the respective theme.
