Introduction: This paper proposes an analysis of the role of physiotherapy in the treatment of breast cancer, highlighting its relevance beyond physical rehabilitation, delving into the psychosocial and emotional dimensions of the disease. Objective: Through a literature review, physiotherapy is evidenced as an essential pillar in multidisciplinary oncological care, acting from early detection to palliative support. Methodology: The analysis emphasizes the need for a comprehensive approach that considers the patient as a whole, highlighting the importance of education, prevention, and emotional support in treatment. Challenges persist regarding the integration of physiotherapy into healthcare teams and the recognition of its full potential by patients and professionals. Results: The study points to the continuous evolution of oncological physiotherapy and the urgency of a practice that engages with the complexities of human beings facing breast cancer, promoting not only survival but also quality of life and integral well-being. Conclusion: It is concluded that physiotherapy plays a crucial role in the treatment of breast cancer, addressing not only physical aspects but also providing emotional and psychosocial support. However, greater recognition and integration of this discipline into healthcare teams are necessary to continuously improve patient care and quality of life.
