Objective: to develop a mobile application aimed at lung and heart auscultation, aiming to assist healthcare professionals, especially nurses, in carrying out their activities. Methodology: this is applied research, with the development of a technological tool for smartphones. The development process followed the stages of design thinking, with data collection, analysis of suggestions, prototyping, implementation and distribution, to create an application that assists in consultations with health professionals. Results: in the data collection stage, interviews were carried out with seven nurses working in care to identify the professionals' needs regarding the process of auscultation of patients and how a tool could be built to assist in this process. The responses revealed the need for an application that included sounds and their respective meanings. The nurses highlighted the lack of applications in the health sector, which have a reliable theoretical framework, and suggested accessible language and practical integration. The application prototype was developed based on nurses' suggestions, incorporating sound elements and relevant information about each sound heard. The implementation and distribution of the application prototype resulted in a better understanding of what is being heard among health professionals. Conclusion: the process resulted in the creation of the lung and heart auscultation application for health professionals, contributing to a better understanding of sounds.
