Objective: to publicize the “HCemCasa” application for nurses in management activities in primary health care. Method: descriptive and quantitative study, carried out with nurse managers from a city in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Data collection took place from October 2020 to March 2021 and consisted of a questionnaire with open and closed questions after an educational activity to publicize the application's functions. Results: 20 nurses participated in the research, 55% of them with more than 10 years of experience in primary care, 80% were already familiar with the application, however, only 37.5% had already used it in their work process. Suggestions to improve the use of the application in primary care were given, such as: increasing the dissemination of the application to users and other team members, facilitating access to the password for users, improving the internet in the health unit. Conclusion: The nurses were already aware of the tool, however they had not included it in their activities. The lack of access to the login and password by patients was what hindered the use of the application in primary care. It is noteworthy that adequate communication promotes rationality in care, avoiding duplication of consultations and exams, in addition to being fundamental in the care and decision-making process.
