Musa spp. is a tropical fruit plant from the Musaceae family, widely cultivated around the world. In Brazil, the crop is extensively grown in the Paraíba brejo region. However, growth and production are strongly influenced by various climatic factors. In this context, this article aims to evaluate the relationship between the climatic conditions of the municipality of Areia, in the state of Paraíba, and the annual productivity from 2004 to 2022. The National Institute of Meteorology (INMET) and the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) provided information for the analysis. To assess the climate trend, the data were subjected to computer graphical analysis, and subsequently, the correlation between climatic elements and productivity was evaluated using Pearson correlation. The results revealed that the only climatic element that had a direct influence on agricultural productivity in the municipality of Areia is precipitation. Climate changes negatively impacted the productivity of Musa spp. in the municipality of Areia, with precipitation being the element that most conditioned productivity.
