Abstract

Facial volumetric restructuring using biostimulators has emerged as an innovative approach in orofacial harmonization, offering both aesthetic and functional benefits. This review article examines the use of collagen biostimulators in patients with Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD), emphasizing the interface between aesthetics and orofacial rehabilitation. The mechanisms of action of these substances, their effects on collagen induction, and their positive impact on muscle and joint function are discussed. Additionally, the functional outcomes of biostimulators on the quality of life of TMD patients are analyzed, highlighting the importance of an integrated therapeutic approach. It is concluded that biostimulators represent a promising alternative for interventions that combine facial rejuvenation with functional rehabilitation, expanding the therapeutic scope in clinical practice.
