Introduction: Radiodermatitis is a common complication in cancer treatment that negatively impacts patients' quality of life. In this context, Aloe vera has stood out for its therapeutic potential due to its moisturizing, healing, and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a promising alternative. General Objective: To analyze the benefits of Aloe vera as a natural resource in the treatment of radiodermatitis in cancer patients, highlighting the role of nursing and the importance of humanized care in oncology. Methods: This is an integrative literature review conducted through searches in the PubMed, SciELO, LILACS, BVS, and BDENF databases, using the PICO strategy to frame the research question. Studies published between 2015 and 2025 in Portuguese, English, and Spanish were included, provided they addressed the topical use of Aloe vera for the treatment of radiodermatitis in cancer patients. Study selection and data analysis followed rigorous criteria, with a descriptive and qualitative synthesis of the results, respecting applicable ethical standards. Results: Of the 12 studies included, 5 demonstrated significant improvement in skin symptoms such as peeling, burning, and itching. There was also evidence that continuous use of the gel may delay the onset and reduce the severity of lesions. The role of nursing was also highlighted, especially in ensuring safe, humanized, and comprehensive intervention. Discussion: The benefits of Aloe vera as a natural treatment for radiodermatitis represent a field that requires ongoing research and innovation. Evaluating its advantages and updating its use is essential for improving cancer patient care. Conclusion: In addition to its therapeutic potential, the use of Aloe vera aligns with the principles of humanized care, offering a low-cost and accessible alternative that can be adopted by nursing teams to promote self-care and improve the quality of life of cancer patients. Despite its promise, the use of Aloe vera for the prevention and treatment of radiodermatitis still requires stronger scientific evidence.
