Protocol for judgments with a gender perspective: repository of rulings and decisions

The article examines the application of the “Protocol for Judgments with a Gender Perspective” by the Court of Justice of the State of Pará (TJPA), developed by the National Council of Justice (CNJ) and formalized in 2023 through Resolution CNJ No. 492. The analysis focuses on rulings issued by the Domestic and Family Violence Against Women Court in Ananindeua, State of Pará. The central research problem lies in assessing how judges have incorporated this tool into their decisions, fostering a more equitable and inclusive judicial practice by considering gender-specific issues and the structural inequalities underlying legal cases. The methodology combines bibliographic review and document analysis, utilizing data from the “Repository of Judgments and Decisions Applying the Protocol for Judgments with a Gender Perspective,” maintained by the CNJ, correlated with relevant theoretical frameworks. The findings indicate that the protocol, as a guide for the Brazilian judiciary, significantly contributes to fairer and more grounded decisions sensitive to gender issues. Moreover, its practical application not only strengthens respect for human rights but also transforms judicial rulings into powerful tools of protection and justice for women and gender minorities.
