Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neuropsychiatric condition characterized by variations in brain functioning that affect cognition, emotional regulation, and social interaction. Research has shown significant neuroanatomical differences, such as increased brain volume in autistic children, as well as atypical patterns of functional connectivity that influence sensory perception and communication. This study combines a literature review with a case study to provide a deeper understanding of ASD. The literature review synthesizes high-impact research to establish a strong theoretical foundation, while the case study offers an in-depth analysis of an autistic child’s unique experiences, challenges, and responses to interventions. By integrating these approaches, the study highlights the complexity of ASD
